Within the framework of DIGITAL WEEK – 2025, a dissemination activity of the EU-funded DIGITAL MOVE Project, a training workshop on Digital Transformation Strategy Planning for Higher Education Institutions was successfully organized at Otоch Manramba University.

The training targeted university leaders, academic staff, and administrative professionals, with the aim of sharing practical methodologies and international best practices for planning and implementing digital transformation in higher education institutions. The event was co-organized by Otch Manramba University and the School of Agroecology and Business of the Mongolian University of Life Sciences (Darkhan branch), and was delivered in a hybrid format, combining on-site and online participation.
A total of 22 higher education institutions participated online, while 51 academic and managerial staff attended in person. Participants included representatives from four universities in the People’s Republic of China, as well as higher education institutions from Ulaanbaatar, Darkhan, and Erdenet.

The training program was structured into three main thematic sessions, covering:
- Current trends in digital transformation in higher education
- International good practices and strategic approaches
- Institutional self-assessment methodologies, including the application of the JISC Digital Transformation Model
In addition to expert presentations and discussions, participants engaged in group work sessions focusing on:
- Institutional self-assessment
- Teaching and learning using digital technologies
- Data and information management and use
- Communication and digital engagement
Based on these focus areas, each group developed action plans tailored to their own institutional contexts, translating strategic concepts into practical and implementable steps.

This event significantly contributed to deepening participants’ understanding of digital transformation in higher education and strengthening their capacity for evidence-based strategic planning. It represents an important milestone in the dissemination of the DIGITAL MOVE project outcomes and supports the broader goal of fostering sustainable and inclusive digital transformation across higher education institutions.
